History-

The Hunts-Class was developed arount the same time as the Hercules II, Destructer II, Pact, and Capcom Classes, being part of the rebirth of an extremely militaristic Starfleet (although "Extremely" was the Exploration-oriented Utopianists worried that Starfleet would become an Empire and conquer the Galaxy, and some similar fears & worries that rarely had basis in fact), and ships of the Class were designed to be enormous fleet combat units and assault ships, carrying 1,980 troops with Life Support Belts, Phaser Pistols and Customizer Rifles. The First Two ships of the Class, USS The Bramham Moor (NCC-216201) and USS The Albrighton (NCC-216205) led a task force of 24 Tanks, 6 Capcoms, and 4 Secters to assault the True Ones held Colonies of Newlenia and Oceanis on May 3rd, 2502, which were "processed" Coalition Arcturian, Tellarite and Centauran colonies, destroying mobile repair docks (and capturing one), as well as over 500 fighters, three Carriers, and 11 Destroyers, USS Albrighton captain Henry Macguinness is quoted "Ours was the strike that shattered the sky!"

The Hunts-Class was originally proposed as a "Heavy Tactical Assault Frigate", but this was rejected as being too redundant, so the 'heavy' was removed, making the class a "Tactical Assault Frigate", and ships of the Class were named after Fox Hunts in Great Britain, Terra, of which Steam Engines were also named, with registries in the 216xxxs range. The Class was built at Donmasto, Antares Fleet Yards, Chiokis, Gnarrbaxis, Salazaar and Morena at a combined rate of 6 per year, and remained in service until retired in the 2640s, being often used for Marine Training, scouting hostile Gamma/Delta Quadrant regions for future colonization, and leading special investigations into Starship Disappearences.
