History: The Anitieles-Class Heavy Cruiser was developed to become a larger, higher-speed exploratory cruiser for Starfleet. Being based partially on the Hydra and Envoy Classes, and influencing the design of the Akira and Norway Classes, it's modestly, but decently armed, but the pride of Galaxy Exploration Command. One ship, the Scenteles Constellation, has been renamed the Constellation, to replace the Constellation-Class starship (NX-1974) entering retirement in the 2370s, and is currently on a tour of duty exploring the edge of the Delta Quadrant with several scout ships of the Nova, Gerris Zodiac, and Epsilon Eridani Classes.
Noteworthy Vessels/Service Records/Encounters: U.S.S Anitieles; - Prototype, NCC-63000, named for the sea of wonders on the Spanish Colony of Torres, at Eridani Indi Ceti II, U.S.S Scenteles Constellation, NCC-63001, used for mainly exploration, commanded by Human-Centauran Hybrid Eril Gordon and exploring the edge of the Delta Quadrant, U.S.S Antioch; - destroyed by two Klingon Battlecruisers over mining colony dispute (2372), NCC-63013
