History: The Elanaska-Class is named for an arctic northern area on Alpha Centaruri VII that is mineral-rich, and home to a handful of small towns. It is a somewhat newer exploration vessel meant to supplement the Excelsior-, Miranda-, Constellation-, Philadelphia Beacon-, Hyperon-, and Excalibur Avenue-Classes, looking somewhat like the Philadelphia Beacon- and Excalibur Avenue-Classes, using the Constellation-Classes improved sensors. They were easily repaired, and did very well against the Talarians and Cardassians.
